Identifying My Research Interests

As I started my doctoral studies, I began to identify my research interests and delved deeper into related theories with the help of several courses such as EDIT8100 (Foundation of LDT) and EDIT8900 (Advanced Educational Research). Currently ,with guidance from my advisor (Dr. Bagdy), I am exploring a variety of articles and READ more research about emergency technologies and specifically about Learning Analytics (LA) and Artificial intelligence (AI).

Prototyping an Educational Innovation

During my first semester, I designed my first prototype of an online platform (working title, “EduTechSphere ”) under the supervision of Dr. Rieber. My current research idea is to investigate the effectiveness of such AI-enhanced online platform on enhancing doctoral students research writing skills.

IBSTPI Project

I had the opportunity to assist with the Arabic translations for a survey that will go out to instructional designers around the world. This survey was a part of The International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI) project with Dr. Jill E Stefaniak and Dr. Matthew Schmidt. The translation process was a part of quality assurance of the survey as the prepared to translate the survey into several languages using Qualtrics' translation features. It was a great opportunity to be apart of this work.
