It was a written narrative document that provide an enough information about the topic I am exploring so any another reader can better understand the context of my topic. In addition, this document suggested to situate our work in those scholars and theories that have come before us in scholarly writing. That helped us to continue to find/refine our voice as a scholar in LDT is work that will occur throughout our career; this document is just one more step on the path! We wrote about an LDT scholar(s) and theory(ies) that we found most influence our thinking about our area of research at that time showing the relation between them and our research scope.
